Maybe it’s because she’s got a wider, wilder sort of style, or maybe it’s because working with witchy blacks and greens gives you more options than sticking to floaty, puffy pinks, but we think Cynthia Erivo’s Wicked promo style is getting a little better at the same time her co-star Ariana Grande’s promo style seems stuck in a rut that’s ill-suited to her.
To be fair, dragging that massive coat around on the set is a little bit over the top, but it’s a gorgeous coat and it really elevates the slightly basic mini-dress underneath. It also helps that she’s toned down her makeup and accessorizing for this one. She doesn’t come off weighed down by all of her jewelry, as she sometimes does. The white pumps give the look a bit of lightness. This is one of her best looks on the tour.
