The stars of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (we miss when movie titles didn’t have semi-colons) hit the LA premiere red carpet in stylish (?) looks.
We think it’s fair to say there was no group-text coordinating ahead of time.
Rebecca Hall in Bode
No, girl. Absolutely not. She clearly likes her fashion on the quirky and focus-pulling side of things. No crime in any of that, but her impulses tend to guide her towards some awkward and borderline ugly choices. The pants have possibilities, but the top and the shoes are both ugly and her hair/makeup sitch isn’t doing her or the look any favors.
Dan Stevens (in Dzojchen) and Brian Tyree Henry
Years ago, we went to a Downton Abbey press event hosted by PBS. It was the first time many of the younger cast members had done any promotional work in America. Dan was very charming, but he was also very open during the Q&A about how he wanted a crossover career and that his long-term goal was to become a blockbuster movie star. Well, you did it, mister. Aside from Lily James, he’s probably the most successful of the DA cast. We’re saying this because his current ensemble is not a bit surprising to us, given his ambitions. We don’t love matching shirts with suits, and we don’t think the look feels as fresh as it might (lots of floral suits on red carpet men about five years ago), but it’s fun and he looks great. Brian looks fine, but between the hair and the jewelry and even the pocket square, we’re wondering why he picked such a conventional suit.
