The Banshees of Inisherin star Barry Keoghan picked up a very well-deserved Best Supporting Actor BAFTA, but because we’re shallow sorts ’round these parts, we’re far more interested in what he’s wearing.
It seems like every year there must be one actor among the Oscar nominees who does the work of trying not to be boring during award season. Barry, we salute you in appreciation for your efforts. This is a spectacular suit that might look cheap or garish on someone else. It’s a little hard to tell with all of the moving around that he’s doing, but the jacket appears to be a little boxy on him. It almost looks like they pinned up the hem of the jacket to shorten a little. We appreciate the attempt to find some sort of counterintuitive shirt, but we don’t think this one works at all. That looks like the collar to a bomber jacket and you really can’t get away with a ribbed cuff under a suit jacket. Still, we love the attempt and we cover the boots.
