Well! We’re gonna have to start off by thanking Miss Nathalie because she definitely succeeded in giving us something to discuss. And we don’t mean “discuss” in the “rip it to shreds” sense, either! We are genuinely struck by the pros and cons of this ensemble:
It is, first, entirely too much. The ruffled hem of the pants, the textured, mustard-yellow bag, the two-tone mary janes (with sparkly straps, no less), the eyelet ruffle, the little bow, the shades WITH THE JEWELED GLASS-STUDDED CHAIN, FOR GOD’S SAKE – it’s a look with a TON of elements, most of which are on the twee side, several of which directly clash or fight with each other. The thing is, we think most of it – MOST of it, mind you – works for her. She’s a gal who can handle a lot of elements at once. Having said that, the fit on the blouse is a bit off and if we’re wielding a magical editing wand, we’d get rid of the bag, the ruffled hem, and possibly even the shoes. Still, it’s a pretty cute look despite the too-muchness of it all.
