Not that she needs our permission or approval, of course. But she’s been a bit hit-or-miss throughout this promo tour and we’ve been at a bit of a loss as to what she should be doing about it. She clearly loves quirky and unconventional fashion and she even seems willing to wear stuff that’s far more editorial than it is pretty. And maybe that’s been the problem lately. Fashion’s just not putting out product that suits her preferences at the moment. Or at least, it’s not putting out enough of it for a quirky Scottish gal to get her way through a high-profile worldwide promo tour while remaining true to herself. This is weirdly shaped, in a color story slightly unusual for this time of year, and we think it works great for her. She looks amazing in pictures, it has a high-fashion feel to it, and weirdly, it feels very holiday-appropriate somehow. It looks better on her than it did on the runway, which tells you how well she tends to do when fashion gives her what she wants.
But then again, isn’t that true for most of us?
