It looks dramatic and interesting on her, but we hate how she’s carrying the skirt. Also, it’s in dire need of some jewelry.
Chase Sui Wonders in Miss Sohee Couture
The pattern is very pretty — and it stands out because you rarely see florals on an awards show red carpet — but what we love is how her hairstyle mimics the bustline. This was well thought out.
Claire Danes in Prada
It’s a dramatic walking-away element that really elevates an otherwise plain look.
Demi Moore in Schiaparelli Couture
It’s a fart cloud and her shoes look like they’re killing her. Demi, don’t punish yourself.
Dove Cameron in Monique Lhuillier
It’s fine but it feels totally unresolved as a design.
Eiza González in Armani Privé
The dress is hot but the bow looks dumb.
Gwyneth Paltrow in Givenchy
We want to give her credit for getting a little outside her comfort zone with this one, but we don’t think that neckline works at all, from a proportions perspective. Hate the shoes.
Hannah Einbinder in Willy Chavarria
The dress looks very heavy and fuzzy, and the cap looks like a bedsheet. We miss when she used to wear edgier stuff.
Kathryn Hahn in Viktor & Rolf
Love how witchy it is, but we don’t understand those pink things at all.
Keri Russell in Louis Vuitton
She looks great in it, but the design is just a little too tricky for us.
Kirsten Dunst in Khaite
Hate the bodice, the spaghetti straps and the bow.
Kristen Wiig in Christian Cowan
It’s hot. She likes the slinky and sexy stuff and considering how rare it is to see a female comedian go for that style, it’s kind of refreshing.
Liza Colón-Zayas in Nadine Merabi
We don’t mind a jumpsuit in this setting, but the lower half looks kind of casual to our eyes. Can’t say we’re loving the lace all that much.
Mindy Kaling in Yara Shoemaker Couture
What a goofy-ass frock.
Natasha Rothwell in Naeem Khan
We’re so tired of the fuzzy look. It always looks so Snuffleupagus to us. This isn’t a bad version of the style. The belt does a lot of work to give it some shape and keep it from looking like a bearskin on her.
Sarah Paulson in Archival Saint Laurent
Love the dress, hate the hair.
Sofia Carson in Elie Saab Couture
It’s dramatic as hell. We like the stiffness of the bodice in juxtaposition with the skirt, but it’s overdesigned.
