We almost hate being bitchy about this outfit because, in a different setting, we might have considered it modern and low-key chic. We like that her style choices are offbeat and that they mostly suit her, as this one does. In fact, if we were in an editing mood, we’d suggest that the only thing that needs to change here are the shoes, which are distracting. But we have to stand on our truth and say that she shouldn’t have worn this outfit at all; not for a television talk show. It looks terrible sitting down and — not to sound snotty or anything — but it doesn’t have that approachable sort of glamour that network television audiences respond well to. In other words, her style has an intellectual undertone to it and we think that’s perfect for her, but she might have wanted to dumb it down a little for Kimmel. This is a stand-and-pose outfit; perfect for a photo call on a London rooftop.
