Hugh Jackman finally deigned to dress at the same level of his co-star Kate Hudson for the New York premiere of Song Sung Blue.

He did not, however, dress at the same level of interest.

It’s fine. Very good, even. It’s professional and well-fitted and we can’t really point to a single thing wrong about it. It’s a little on the dull side, as all black suits are, but he was never a guy for a lot of bright colors or high fashion moments. We’ll take it.

It’s been up to her to provide all the photogenic interest on this promo tour and she certainly hasn’t slacked off in her duties. Her tastes have always run toward the tacky and this dress is pretty much more of the same. Granted, there’s not anything terribly wrong with the dress itself, although we think the chartreuse is tough to work and she’s not quite pulling it off. What really bugs is the sheer cape, mainly because we think most sheer capes are stupid, but also because combining mauve with chartreuse is a hate crime.
