While we maintain that this calendar is not a countdown (we kicked it off with a fave and put our Number One pick in the Number Two slot), it’s kind of impossible not to see Vera Ellen’s finale gown in White Christmas, by the legendary Edith Head, as the ne plus ultra of jingle-jangle couture.
Sure, sure. Rosemary’s gown is lovely too, but for pure 1954 Holiday Barbie realness, you just can’t beat that sexy Mrs. Claus drag. Symbolism? Hidden meanings? Please. It’s Christmas. Go pour yourself a celebratory drink and catch up on a classic. Happy Holidays, kittens!
