At the premiere of The Housemaid, stars Amanda Seyfried and Sydney Sweeney appear to have inadvertently wound up paying tribute to two iconic screen actresses.

Amanda Seyfried in Versace

We have to give her team and the fine folks at Versace our congratulations. We didn’t think it was possible to find or create a basic pink gown as hideously ugly as this one, but God bless them all, they did it. The ruching and pleating on this is body-distorting in a way that comes off a little nauseating. It doesn’t help that she’s a pale blonde trying to work a shade only a few ticks off from her skin tone. Not that a more vivid hue would have helped here. That bodice is so awful that the only color that could mitigate the effect is black. She looks gorgeous. The dress does not.
Sydney Sweeney in Miu Miu

BOOBS. That’s the whole boobing point of a booby dress like this one. Which isn’t to boobily say that we’re offended by the boobness of it all or that we think it should somehow be less booby. Boobtacular gowns have been a Hollywood mainstay for nearly 80 boobin’ years now and we can’t, in good booby conscience, get all huffy about a dress that Marilyn would have worn in a hot boobing second. Our only quibble is that it’s too tight…where? In the boobs, of course. In semi-related news, we’re happy to see she ditched that fuckass bob.
