Mark this date on your calendars, because we finally think Queen Max got all the details right. Well. Maybe 95% of the details in this case. Still! That’s good! The queen visited the launch of the Financially Healthy Netherlands Foundation (Stichting Financieel Gezond Nederland) and she wore a suitably businesslike ensemble for the occasion, with just a little bit of a queenly touch to it.

It’s simple, smart and sharp, befitting her own background in finance and economics. The brooch is ridiculous, but we mean that in a good way. It’s fun and it ensures that she doesn’t look boring in pictures, which is, we presume, a major driver of all of her style choices. We might normally suggest a contrasting top, but the jewelry does enough for work to elevate this visually. Our only quibble is the same one as always: she should pull her hair back in a low pony for day events.
