There were scattered events at the Santa Barbara Film Festival all weekend, and we’ve covered some of the individual attendees, but we figured we’d round a few of the Oscar hopefuls and other A-listers together to judge them all in one go.
Chase Infiniti in Louis Vuitton
This is bold and interesting in a way that forces you to look at it, which is of a piece with most of her fashion choices. She’s a gal who loves herself a weirdly shaped skirt and some asymmetrical design choices, which makes this dress somewhat perfect for her. We love it. It helps that the hair and makeup are flawless.
Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas in McQueen
Drab and heavy-looking, even though we know it isn’t. That’s the problem with all-black looks. They’re voids if they’re not interesting somehow.
Jacob Elordi
Beautiful colors and tailoring. He prefers to wear his jackets a little long, but given how tall he is, that’s to be expected.
Leonardo DiCaprio
Acceptable.
Wagner Moura in Giuliva Heritage
Love the colors and the slightly unusual dress shirt/polo shirt hybrid. The pants are a little long and he should’ve buttoned the jacket and fixed his shirt collar.
Wunmi Mosaku in House of Bibiré
Gorgeous hair and makeup, but that outfit is a big ol’ NO. She’s an Oscar nominee and deserves better than this.
