Brittany Snow’s been having a pretty great career year. The Hunting Wives turned out to be a surprise runaway hit and she’s got another potential buzzworthy series, The Beast in Me, dropping soon. She had the chance to take two victory laps this week and she aced both of them, mostly.

We’re still tired of the wild overuse of marabou feathers in fashion these last few years, but that rich, dark blue really makes the look this time, and lends it an air of sophistication and elegance that take it away from looking too drag queen. We don’t necessarily think a pendant was called for her, but it would have been nice to finish the look off with a delicate necklace.

It would be nearly impossible to screw up a dress like this and she did not. It’s sexy and dazzling and holds your attention, which is what you want for a talk show appearance. We just don’t like the hem; not the shape of it with those nighshirt-style side slits nor the embellishments, which are so heavy they appear to be weighing the whole thing down. With as much sparkle as this thing’s giving off, we’d have rather seen a plain hem without any silver embellishments.
