Given her established style history of getting some of the biggest, oldest houses in fashion to completely abandon their own aesthetics in order to dress in her custom looks, you’ll have to forgive us for exclaiming “Billie Eilish got Miu Miu to make a Thom Browne suit for her!” upon viewing these shots of her accepting the Music Innovator Award at the WSJ. Magazine Innovator Awards.
But this is an actual look from the Spring 2026 collection, which only speaks to how much the aesthetics of fashion are narrowing. Everyone’s designing the same things, over and over again. To be fair, it’s the sock garters and monk strap shoes that tend to give it that Browne-ian feel. It’s a chic little suit, although it doesn’t tend to make for the best red carpet look. It feels a little casual and very daytime. But she looks great and we love the little modified ascot.
