Y’know? We almost convinced ourselves we like this dress until we realized we’re just responding to her hair, which will make any outfit look better. We don’t mind these sorts of deliberately wrinkled styles, but it’s really got to have the right combination of textile color and a design that will support it. In other words, if this were anything other than a schmatta that just hangs off her, rendered in an insipid color, we might have supported it.

She knows what she’s doing. Advanced senior style should always prioritize comfort and ease, which is why it’s a good idea to pick dramatic prints and bold colors to make up for the simplicity of the garments. We always say you shouldn’t just default to any old sneaker or mall walker. You should get something colorful or metallic that gives the outfit a dressier feel.

HEM YOUR PANTS. Everything else is fine. We could do without the lace bodysuit, but the necklace is interesting.

Scarlett Johansson’s directorial debut is a comically poignant exploration of how the stories we hear become the stories we tell.
