Lady Gaga, like a lot of the A-list attendees of the VMAs, opted not to walk the red carpet. In retaliation for this egregious slap in the face to the entire “being bitches about what celebrities wear” community, we’ve opted to make the unprecedented move of throwing her out to the Bitter Kittens to decide her fate.
She’s more savvy about self-promotion than a lot of her pop star peers and she tends to dress in the style of whatever project she’s promoting. At the moment, she’s in Wednesday mode and we feel like this goth/Mexican folkwear hybrid is an homage (whether intentional or not) to her co-star Jenna Ortega. Like, OF COURSE Gaga would have a Goth Frida Kahlo style turn. It almost seems like a no-brainer. On just about anyone else, we might consider this explosion of ruffles to be entirely too much, but she has a long-established knack for working unworkable fashion. This is easy for her. But as we said, we’re throwing the final call over to y’all, so let’s hear it:
