The all-new, lavish reimagining of John Galsworthy’s Forsyte Saga novels is coming to MASTERPIECE on PBS in 2026. Take a first look at the upcoming costume drama with these just-released images from THE FORSYTES Season 1.

THE FORSYTES’ sweeping and stellar cast features Francesca Annis (Flesh and Blood) as formidable Forsyte matriarch Ann, with Stephen Moyer (Sexy Beast, True Blood) as eldest son Jolyon Senior, head of the family stockbroking firm Forsyte & Co. Danny Griffin (Fate: The Winx Saga) plays his bohemian son Jo, Tuppence Middleton (Downton Abbey: A New Era, Sense8) is Jo’s queen of high society wife, Frances, and Eleanor Tomlinson (Poldark, One Day) plays Louisa Byrne, a Soho dressmaker and Jo’s first love. Jack Davenport (The Morning Show, Breathless) plays Ann’s ambitious younger son James, with Joshua Orpin (Titans, I Know What You Did Last Summer) as James’ shrewd and sometimes ruthless son Soames. Millie Gibson (Doctor Who) plays ballet dancer and Soames’ love interest, Irene. Tom Durant Pritchard (Miss Scarlet, This Is Going to Hurt) plays the comically indolent, social climbing son-in-law, Monty Dartie. Jamie Flatters (Avatar: The Way of Water) is architect Philip Bosinney, Josette Simon (Anatomy of a Scandal) is the influential heiress Mrs. Ellen Parker Barrington, and Owen Igiehon (Disclaimer) plays lawyer Isaac Cole.

THE FORSYTES follows the lives of the wealthy Forsyte family in 1880s London, whose generations find themselves torn between the claims of tradition and self-sacrifice versus personal happiness and the pursuit of love. Follow the tale of desire, ambition and betrayal, and stay tuned — THE FORSYTES Season 2 is already in the works.
