The Rainmaker! It’s a show about lawyers based on a John Grisham novel! Sounds SUPER fresh for 2025! Bitchiness aside, the cast (most of whom we don’t know) didn’t slack off on their style efforts and to the credit of a several of them, didn’t come to this thing dressed like a lawyer.

BAM. This is an outfit that tells us this lady doesn’t think the show’s going to last long so she’s making as big an impact as she can while placing as much distance between herself and the project she’s promoting as possible. Or maybe she’s just got such a distinctive style that she can’t help but stand out. Either way, we salute her efforts. We don’t actually like this whole “sexy First Holy Communion dress” vibe she’s got going on, but we respect the flex.

It’s very “lawyer at a gala dinner,” which would be fine if she were a lawyer at a gala dinner but she’s a TV actress on a red carpet, so we dub this too safe and dull a choice. To be fair, it’s a very nice dress and she could have made some impactful styling choices to bump it up a little.

It’s giving “gay first-year associate in 1987” and we can say with utter conviction that we’re not mad at that at all. This is how you dress conventionally but photogenically. The colors are rich and a little unusual and the opposing stripes are subtle and add visual tension.
