The stars came out last night in New York for director Spike Lee’s new joint Highest 2 Lowest and some of them even managed to serve a look. Let’s judge.

A$AP Rocky in Celine

Kind of an oddly shaped jacket, but for the most part, he looks pretty sharp.

Chance the Rapper

Chance, we regret to inform you that this is a terrible suit; way too shiny and several sizes too large.

Denzel Washington

He’s Denzel. He does red carpets only when he has to and it’s always begrudging. It’s fine. This isn’t his bag and besides, it’s not like he doesn’t look cool as shit here.

Ice Spice in Fancì Club

The problem with having a highly specific look when you hit it big is that you wind up looking generic when you abandon it. Every time we see her with straight hair, we don’t recognize her. If she ever stops dying it, she’s going to need to start wearing a name tag. The dress is fine enough, but the footwear is easily one of the dumbest things we’ve ever seen on a red carpet. Girl, just put some pants on, if that’s what you want.

Ilfenesh Hadera

She’s gorgeous, but this dress is being very mean to her. It’s an awful design.

Jeffrey Wright

Low-key sharp, if not all that photogenic. He always has great shoes.

Rosie Perez

You can’t really go wrong with leopard print, and she has the flair to handle a head-to-toe serving of it, but we hate the shape and style of this dress. That ruffle is awful.
