As we’ve mentioned one or two times (every July for the last 15 years), this time of the year is a fallow one in terms of red carpet content. So we originally picked these shots of Tracee Ellis-Ross at Travel + Leisure magazine’s annual World’s Best Summit as simply one of those somewhat aimless high summer celebrity appearances, like when a whole bunch of them head to European television festivals this time of year. We were just gonna lightly feature it and not really get to far into the weeds of nitpicking it because it’s not like she’s promoting a product or anything.
But it turns out that at least part of the reason she attended is because she’s got a new show coming out on Roku called Solo Traveling with Tracee Ellis Ross, which means we’re all free to be total bitches about her outfit. Except we can’t, because this may be one of the most elegantly chic looks she’s sported in a while. She usually goes for volume and exuberance but this is chic and restrained. We don’t love the shape of the top, but like we said, the lady loves to play with shapes. It’s a sharp yet somehow relaxed look, but the earrings and the hair accessory really make it.

ABOUT THE SHOW:
A champion of solo travel, Tracee invites viewers on her journey, as she meticulously, laboriously, and sometimes ridiculously prepares for and travels solo to spectacular locations. Tracee charts her own path, as she explores the intersection of beauty, fashion, design, food, and culture at each stop of her trip.
SOLO TRAVELING WITH TRACEE ELLIS ROSS streams free July 25 on The Roku Channel.
