Right now, there’s what looks like a targeted campaign against Pedro Pascal on social media, ostensibly (but not really) in support of #MeToo because there are lots of pictures of him touching his female co-stars and certain people have decided to brand him with the Scarlet P (problematic). It kind of pisses us off for reasons we’re going to get into on today’s podcast (including who’s doing the targeting and why), but we had to laugh when these shots of him posing with his Fantastic Four: First Steps co-star Ebon Moss-Bachrach at a press event in the chummiest, most touchy-feely way possible showed up this morning:

Somehow, we don’t think these pictures are going to rocket around social media as evidence of his depravity, which is ironic given the general understanding of his queerness. The thing is, his co-stars always love him – downright adore him – and you can find countless examples and stories about that going back a decade. He’s charming, handsome, and extremely well-liked and people have been getting weirder and weirder about him lately. Anyway, these are two fairly nice outfits, although Pedro needs a belt. The neutral-toned promo tour is so consistent that it has to have been some sort of coordinated effort and we’re kind of curious as to why. Certainly, the candy-colored or primary-colored comic book or toy-based publicity tour is played out post-Barbie, but we’re surprised that there was evidently a choice to clothe the cast as if they were promoting a prestige indie drama.
