Lily Gladstone in Marina Rinaldi at the ALIEN: EARTH London Premiere: IN or OUT?

As far as we know, Lily Gladstone doesn’t have a role in the upcoming Alien: Earth series, but we thank her for showing up to the London premiere in a highly discussable look. In fact, it’s so discussable that we’re going to make you vote on it.

We really do go back and forth on this one. On the one hand, the graphic is pretty and unusual. On the other hand, it’s giving airbrushed t-shirt. On the one hand, it’s got a flowy, caftan sort of vibe. On the other hand, it’s giving oversized t-shirt. It’s giving a lot of t-shirt, is what we’re trying to say here. It’s reversible, as you can see from the look book shots below, but if she’d worn it the other way, it would have looked a little baptismal for us. It’s an interesting and unexpected look, which is half the reason for choosing it. She has a history of supporting Indigenous jewelry designers, so we presume the earrings are part of that, but we don’t think they go with the dress at all. She looks pretty, and the overall look is striking, but we really can’t say it’s a hundred percent working for us. You make the call:
