Sunset BLVD. star Nicole Sherzinger snatched that Tony Award for Best Lead Actress in a Musical away from Audra McDonald and did her victory strut in a gorgeous, if unremarkable Rodarte gown.
Actually, we’ll amend that. It is a remarkable gown, if only because we’d never have pegged it as a Rodarte. There’s really not much else to assess here. The fit is superb and the color looks amazing on her. We wouldn’t have rec’d the matching pumps, but they’re not a dealbreaker for us. She clearly prefers a sleek and simple style and while we tend to think it’s a little boring, we won’t pretend that she looks bad. The only part that really bugs is the way the sequins sit so roughly across the bustline. We can’t tell if that’s a deliberate design choice.
