PinBlue Marlin Restaurant at Paradis Beachcomber – Le Morne Brabant, Mauritius

If the above setting didn’t tip you off already, allow us to impart the happy news that it is FRIDAY, darlings. Do with that what you will. We only suggest that you make it fun, rewarding, and vaguely delusional about the state of the world. Settle in and order something bracing or something numbing. The day is yours.

“Nobody Wants to Play That F***ing Game”: Kristen Bell, Michelle Williams, Kathryn Hahn and the Comedy Actress Roundtable
Hannah Einbinder, Natasha Lyonne and Jessica Williams embrace nudity, mutual adoration and finally learning to stop chasing each other’s careers.

Much like the series they appear in, six of television’s top actresses find themselves careening wildly between laughter and tears as they gather for THR‘s annual Comedy Actress Emmy Roundtable. Over the course of an hour in early May, Kristen Bell (Nobody Wants This), Hannah Einbinder (Hacks), Kathryn Hahn (Agatha All Along, The Studio), Natasha Lyonne (Poker Face), Jessica Williams (Shrinking) and Michelle Williams (Dying for Sex) unpack their own personal and professional vulnerabilities, reveal the empowering side of onscreen nudity and, yes, even debate the merits of emojis — the eggplant included.

Sex and the City Fans Slam Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon’s New Comments About Samantha Jones
“Even in the past, I don’t feel that Charlotte really relied on Samantha that much for support,” Davis said in a new interview.
Sex and the City fans don’t play about Samantha Jones, no matter what the cast of And Just Like That… thinks about her.
In a new interview with Attitude Magazine, both Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis were asked if they hope their characters are texting Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall), as we see Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) do in season three of And Just Like That… The interviewer also wondered if Nixon thought Miranda would seek guidance and support from Samantha as she explores her sexuality.
“No,” Nixon said with a laugh. “No, I don’t.”

Who will play Dorothy in Wicked part 2? We have a few theories…
Now a trailer has dropped, here’s what we now about the titular Oz character’s role in the upcoming film.

Now the trailer has dropped, it feels like part 2 (Wicked: For Good) is really happening. Part 1 was undoubtedly one of the biggest cinematic events of the year, making us even more excited for Wicked part 2 – which is due for release in November 2025.
Of course, Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande star as Elphaba and Glinda respectively, but the role of Dorothy remains a question mark, which is intriguing due to her more prominent role in part 2 of the musical and presumably the upcoming film.
The dropping of the trailer has given us a taster of musical tracks No Good Deed and For Good, as well as a few flashes of Dorothy, the Tin Man, Scarecrow and Cowardly Lion.

The Jewellery Shift: Silver Pieces Defining the Moment
Minimal, modern and mood-shifting—silver is this season’s standout

When it comes to jewellery, most of us fall firmly into one of two camps: team gold or team silver. It’s a choice you usually make early on in life and, if you’re anything like me, once you’ve made it, it’s a binding contract. Not just because splurging on a whole new jewellery collection can be costly business, but also because it feels personal; your jewellery tone practically built into your DNA. Okay, maybe I’m exaggerating slightly, but ask any gold hoop lover or silver ring stacker and they’ll most likely be committed to their tone of choice.
Recently however, I found myself abandoning everything I thought I knew and boldly dipping my toe into silver jewellery instead—and, I have to say, I think I like it.

White Jeans are Officially Back, and These are 6 Cool Ways to Style Them This Season
Outfit inspiration courtesy of fashion’s cool girls

You know that summer is coming when you suddenly feel the urge to swap out your darker clothes for all things light, bright and joyful—and that extends to denim, too. While dark washes and raw styles dominated last season, as the weather begins to warm up and the sun finally makes an appearance, white jeans are officially trending again.
In the past three months, customer searches for white jeans on Net-A-Porter have increased by 117%, with cropped and high-rise silhouettes proving most popular. Karen Phelps, creative director of insider-favourite denim brand AGOLDE, has also noticed an uptick in interest for white and cream styles specifically.
“White denim is a recurring spring/summer staple,” says Phelps. “It’s timeless, flattering, incredibly versatile, and effortlessly bridges the gap between casual and polished. It’s also crisp and modern, bringing a sense of freshness to any look.”

Ok So, Fragrance is Making a Comeback in Skincare—Here’s How To Tell If You Can Tolerate It
It’s not always bad, folks

As someone committed to staying firmly in the loop with beauty trends, I’ve noticed a definite rise in fragranced skincare of late. For some, this may be surprising—even concerning—given the things we have heard about using products that feature scent. But should we be concerned, or is it time to release our fears and dive headfirst into the world of fragranced cleansing balms and moisturisers?
I spoke to three experts to answer that question once and for all.

Just Ask The History Books: These Are The Most Iconic Nail Polish Shades of All Time
From Rouge Noir to Ballet Slippers

I’ll readily admit that I’m a nail art girl wherever possible, but that doesn’t mean I don’t love a flawless full-cover manicure. It doesn’t matter if you paint them yourself or get them done in-salon, the power of cleaned-up cuticles and that freshly-applied shiny finish of one of the most iconic nail polish shades is strong. So strong, it’ll have you intermittently holding up your hand and admiring your nails for the rest of the day.
A lot of factors are at play when it comes to trending colours and the shades we gravitate towards in both beauty and fashion, lest we forget Miranda Priestley’s iconic speech in The Devil Wears Prada. Which brings me back to famous nail polish shades. Forms of nail varnish have been around for thousands of years, meaning dozens of shades have been pop culture moments in their own right—from the black-red nails of Pulp Fiction’s leading lady to Hailey Bieber’s viral understated manicures.

From Roaring Panthers to Oceanic Treasures, the World’s Leading Maisons Unveil Their High Jewellery Collections
One-of-a-kind Creations

As temperatures rise, winter coats retreat into storage, spirits lift, and the sun lingers longer in the sky, the world’s leading jewellery maisons seize the moment. They whisk clients away to White Lotus-worthy destinations, where every ray of sunlight becomes a spotlight for their latest creations.

Elegant, Celebrity-Inspired Little Black Dresses Are All I’m Wearing This Summer
Hailey Bieber, Rihanna, and J.Law convinced me.

This time last year, white dresses dominated celebrities’ closets, as I expected. Fast forward 365 days, and they’re erased from my Instagram timeline. Instead, celebrities have discovered near-infinite ways to make LBDs work year-round. The solution? Shorter hems, lightweight fabrics, and plunging necklines. Some stars are even taking the trend a step further and going the matching skirt set route. And just like that, I’m fully convinced to swap my ivory minis for their sultry older sisters.

‘The Life of Chuck’ Is an Invigorating Drama About Doomsday and Dance. It Wouldn’t Work Without Mandy Moore
The choreographer breaks down the big numbers in the film starring Tom Hiddleston.

Mike Flanagan’s new film The Life of Chuck begins as a doomsday tale, as small-town residents facing the end of the world are distracted by omnipresent ads celebrating a man named Chuck Krantz (played by Tom Hiddleston). As it continues in reverse chronological order, the movie, adapted from Stephen King’s novella of the same name, reveals its true strength as a genre-bending drama about all the joys that give existence its worth despite its inevitable end. For Chuck, that lifelong joy is dance, which proves to be the emotional heart that powers the entire film.

Ceremonia’s New Guava Perfume Is the Only Summer Fragrance You Need—Trust Me
The latest product from the brand’s Guava collection has our editors obsessed.

It seems like food-forward scents are everywhere right now, but guava really stuck with me. My family is from Ecuador, so I grew up with guava pastries, particularly pastelitos (guava and cheese empanadas), so the scent always reminds me of my childhood. Apart from the fruity notes, the bottle also just looks gorgeous. The bright color, large statement cap made of wood (similar to the Perfume de la Tierra bottle), and shimmery pigments add a touch of joy to my vanity.

A New Jane Austen Exhibit Showcases Rare Letters Between the Author and Her Sister
The curators take T&C behind the new “A Lively Mind” exhibit at the Morgan Library & Museum—and why the public remains so fascinated by Jane Austen 250 years after her birth.

This year marks the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen’s birth—and it is being celebrated with new books, events, and a special exhibition at the Morgan Library and Museum in New York City.
“Jane Austen has always been a beloved figure at the Morgan,” the Museum’s director, Colin B. Bailey, said at a press preview of the new exhibit. The Morgan is home to a third of Austen’s surviving letters, and A Lively Mind: Jane Austen at 250, on view today through September 14, draws on that deep collection to present a wide-ranging, in-depth exhibition on the famed author, showcasing artifacts, manuscripts, and artworks. “We’re honored to have the opportunity to commemorate Jane Austen’s major birthday by telling the story of her authorship in a fresh, engaging way for a wide audience,” curators Juliette Wells and Dale Stinchcomb tell T&C. “The Morgan’s own set of Austen’s manuscripts is second to none, so we’re able to feature lots of her letters as well as feature important historical documents in her handwriting.”

Daniella Luxembourg on René Magritte’s Phantom Landscapes
“René Magritte: The Phantom Landscape” (through July 12) asks us to put aside pipes, bowler hats, green apples, and clouds when we think of the Belgian Surrealist painter, and to consider Magritte as a landscape artist of a different kind—one for which landscape and psychology and fantasy and emotion all play in the same sandbox. (When I tell George Condo about the show, he says: “Nice angle on Magritte. Nobody ever zooms in on that.”)
Daniella Luxembourg, one of the most innovative and far-sighted dealers-slash-art advisors working, is also a top-notch collector. When in New York, she lives in Pierre Matisse’s house on the Upper East Side (she bought it in 2001), and a couple of weeks ago she sold 15 of her important works installed there—works by the likes of Lucio Fontana, Alberto Burri, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Alexander Calder, Claes Oldenburg, and other post-war masters—at Sotheby’s in New York. Bare walls, not a problem: She’s already brought in paintings by Domenico Gnoli, another Fontana, and two kinetic sculptures from the ’50s by Jean Tinguely, all from her vast private collection, to replace them.

The Top Small US Cities for Food and Drink
From Appalachia to the Russian River Valley, these American small towns stand out with all kinds of cuisines and distinct local flavors.
From barbecue in the Carolinas to mezze in Vermont and wine country fine dining in California, great meals aren’t confined to America’s major metros. As part of Food & Wine’s 2025 Global Tastemakers awards, this list spotlights standout small U.S. cities for food and drink – each with fewer than 100,000 residents. Unlike other lists in the series, which were voted on by a panel, this one reflects my own selections. Based in central Ohio, I enjoy exploring local food options in small towns across the country. These destinations were chosen through research, local insights, and recommendations from fellow travel writers and editors at the magazine and beyond. Each place reflects a distinct identity — shaped by history, sparked by creativity, and packed with way more flavor than their size lets on. Dig in!

KFC and Mountain Dew’s New Creamsicle-Inspired Dirty Soda Is Basically Summer in a Sip
Peaches and cream? In a soda? It actually works.

The “dirty soda” trend is alive and kicking — and this time around, it has a distinctly summertime twist.
Peaches and Cream Mountain Dew is coming to a KFC near you, the fried chicken chain confirmed on Thursday. Sweet Lightning Mountain Dew, a KFC-exclusive soda that first appeared on menus in 2019, is getting a modern update with an added swirl of sweet vanilla cream. The new Mountain Dew Sweet Lightning Peaches and Cream soda resembles a sweet honey creamsicle — just without all the sticky mess when it melts.

Beware of this silent, seething relationship-killer
Suddenly can’t stand the way your partner chews? That’s resentment.

Harboring feelings of resentment is more common than people probably would like to admit — it’s the weapon we silently wield against partners, friends, family, colleagues, and neighbors for wrongs, either real or perceived, that we can’t seem to forgive. The experience is so pervasive, says therapist and registered social worker Audrey Kao, she created a YouTube video summing up all the information she’d shared with clients.
Resentment is commonly described as festering or simmering, probably because it doesn’t just come out of nowhere. Envy is wanting what someone else has, according to psychologists, while jealousy is a fear of losing what you have to another person. These are more momentary feelings that can accumulate over time to resentment, Kao says, which is a response to repeatedly being made to feel inferior or being the victim of perceived injustices. Hear a friend discuss their lavish lifestyle long enough and mild annoyance and envy might curdle to resentment.

Who was Empress Elisabeth of Austria? Discover the captivating story of the tragic ‘beauty queen’
The ill-fated Empress Elisabeth of Austria has had her story retold countless times on screen. As we remember Sisi on the anniversary of her coronation as Queen of Hungary, what is the truth behind the drama?

Empress Elisabeth of Austria remains a figure of fascination 125 years on. Beautiful, tragic, powerful – it is easy to understand why the tale of this ill-fated royal beauty has captured the imagination.
Born into the royal Bavarian House of Wittelsbach, Elisabeth enjoyed an informal upbringing, where her hands-on mother and father raised her to explore the countryside and enjoy creative musings. The young Sissi wed Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria at the age of 16, a marriage that thrust her into formal Habsburg court life, for which she was unprepared and found unpleasant. Eccentric and educated in the values of creativity and adventure, the dullness of royal life was no match for Sissi. In an act of defiance, the empress took up smoking (ironic, considering her fear of ageing), riding and gymnastics during her marriage, which caused her to become a reluctant victim of gossip.

It’s Bath time! The city is in the spotlight for the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen’s birth, but its story runs far deeper
Bath’s history goes beyond its Jane Austen connections, as Delilah Khomo discovered in Tatler’s June 2025 issue, through sacred springs, Regency grandeur and the legacy of Sulis Minerva

It is a truth not universally acknowledged that Jane Austen did not actually like Bath. Even though she made it a memorable backdrop to her novels Persuasion and Northanger Abbey, her experience was tainted by it being the location of her father’s passing. Yet despite her dislike, the city has become inextricably linked with the author. In short, Bath is Jane Austen – and all things Regency. Of course, Bridgerton is filmed here, with the fourth series scheduled for next year.
Droves of Austen devotees continue to flock to the city, 250 years after her birth, to pay homage. Standing in The Jane Austen Centre at 40 Gay Street, learning about the plans to honour her in this signficant anniversary year, I’m struck by the (dare I say, cult-like) fervour of her pilgrims. They will descend on Bath in bonnets, empire-line dresses and chokers for the Jane Austen Festival, which runs from 12 to 21 September. Excuse my pride and prejudice, but Bath is idyllic at any time of year – bar those dates.

Mara Corday, Starlet of Monster Movies and Magazines, Dies at 95
She appeared in Playboy and sci-fi films in the 1950s. Later, in Clint Eastwood’s “Sudden Impact,” she was a hostage until he uttered five famous words.

In the 1950s, Mara Corday, a nightclub showgirl and popular pinup model, was a star of three science-fiction movie thrillers, including “Tarantula” (1955), in which she fled from a 100-foot-tall spider that had escaped from a laboratory.
“The whole world is after him,” Ms. Corday told the gossip columnist Hedda Hopper that year, about the terrifying arachnid. “He’s a pretty unhappy spider, I can tell you. I’m a lady scientist, and Leo Carroll and John Agar are playing two top roles.”
At a time when sci-fi cinema was focused on subjects like alien invasions, space exploration and nuclear paranoia, Ms. Corday was cast in B-movie tales about nasty, gigantic creatures.

‘The Comeback’ Turns 20: Lisa Kudrow and Michael Patrick King on Early Criticism, Cult-Classic Status and Whether There Will Ever Be a Season 3
It’s been 20 years since Valerie Cherish booked “The Comeback.”

“The Comeback,” the HBO satire of reality TV and the entertainment industry — a show that confused audiences in its moment but is now a revered cult classic — debuted June 5, 2005. It came with lofty expectations attached: The series was a collaboration between Lisa Kudrow, of “Friends,” and Michael Patrick King, who’d run “Sex and the City.” Both of those shows’ sentimental and sweet-natured finales, both of which had aired in the previous year, loomed large in memory.

Passion Star Martini
Rich and tropical, it’s an irresistible drink you’ll want to sip all summer.

The Passion Star Martini—also known as the Pornstar Martini—is a playful, provocative cocktail that’s just right for summer sipping. It features a heady combination of passion fruit and vanilla and is shaken until ice cold and frothy, then served up in a coupe glass. The tropical fruit flavor comes from a one-two punch of passion fruit puree and liqueur, while vanilla vodka brings all its creamy, subtly floral notes to the party. Lime juice and simple syrup round out the cocktail—but we’re not done yet. To take things over the top, the drink is garnished with half a fresh passion fruit and served with a sidecar of bubbly prosecco for cleansing the palate. Whatever you choose to call it, this silky, captivating cocktail is one you won’t soon forget.

How to Grill Vegetables for Maximum Flavor, According to a Grill Master
Bring out the sweet, caramelized, and smoky side of your favorite produce when you grill it like a pro.

When we think about grilling, it’s probably steaks, chicken, and maybe hot dogs. Those proteins are great on the grill, but don’t overlook grilling vegetables—it’s a wonderful way to bring more variety to your meals. Learning how to grill vegetables properly will prove that they deserve more than just a place on the side. The hot, direct heat of the grill encourages a natural sweetness in produce that searing or steaming can’t replicate, bringing out a deeply caramelized, smoky, and delightfully charred flavor to pretty much any vegetable.
Whether layered on skewers, tossed in a grill basket, or seared directly on the grates, you might find yourself reaching for produce sooner than meat once you learn a few key techniques. We spoke to an expert to get tips and ideas to help you grill vegetables so delicious that you and your guests will remember them long after the grill has cooled.

I Live in Rhode Island—and These Are My Favorite Hidden Gems in the Ocean State
Rhode Island may be the smallest state in the U.S., but there’s no shortage of things to do.

Rhode Island—blink and you could miss this tiny state on a map. But what this corner of New England lacks in size, it over-delivers with classic East Coast charm.
It’s no secret Rhode Island’s popularity has soared in recent years. Blame what you will—its oh-so Instagrammable beauty, its wealth of stunning Gilded Age mansions, or the Taylor Swift effect. But venture beyond the typical tourist track, and there are swaths of the Ocean State that remain delightfully off the radar. These include locals-only beaches, storied museums, and seaside cafes with world-class, live music performances.
As a Rhode Island resident, here are my eight favorite hidden gems across the state.
