The cast of The Gilded Age came out to serve some occasionally eye-popping looks at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of the show’s third season. Let’s assess, shall we? We gave Carrie Coon her own spotlight post because she’s a drama queen.

Y’know, we really appreciate the minimalism, but we think there’s a way to do a look like this and not come off like you’re supposed to be carrying a tray of hors d’oeuvres.

We burst out laughing, which is a little mean of us, we admit. The thing is, the proportions here are comically terrible. The super-skinny pants (which are looking mighty stale) paired with a cropped trench coat (a strange choice for a red carpet) combines to give him pin legs. With the hairstyle and the frames, it’s all combining to give him enormo-head. Ditch the coat and put on a roomier pair of pants.

This is very sweet and it’s nice to see someone dressing for high summer.

We’ll always hate the white-soled black sneaker as a dressy casual option, but the rest of this looks pretty nice, if a bit dour.

She’s forever a diva, but we honestly can’t say we’re loving this frock. It looks a little too Reagan era to come off fresh on her. The color is awful and the texture is unphotogenic. The shoulders are too broad and the irregular mermaid hem is eyelid-twitch-inducing.

This is really fun and we kind of love that she’s been having a bit of an Auntie Mame moment with her style.

Polished and professional. The suit is low-key, but you’ve really gotta give it up on the finishing. Hair, makeup and pedi are flawless.

If that skirt were properly hemmed, we’d call this the best gown with side cutouts we’ve ever seen. The colors look amazing on her and we love the simplicity of the shapes and blocking.

Oh, hey, we forgot about this bitch. Sorry, Kelly Curran. It’s just that you’re so good at playing the sourest of women. We like the dress, but it needs a pendant.

That kind of print doesn’t photograph well, but our only real issue here is with the irregular hem. A floor-length hem all around would make this feel less casual and flimsy.

We love that Hot Beard is such a fashion weirdo, although this all looks too heavy for New York in June.

A suit like this needs to be impeccable and since it’s not, this look fails.
