The Netflix stable of stars came out to beg for your attention at the streamer’s annual promotional Tudum event. Some came serving glam, some came serving professionalism, and some of them barely managed a serve at all. Shall we? Judge them, we mean. Rhetorical question. Let’s go.
Cailee Spaeny in Miu Miu
Seems kind of heavy for June. It’s a nice enough look but pairing a sweater with sandals always looks weird to us.
Chase Stokes
Acceptable. The undershirt bugs.
Drew Starkey in Acne Studios
Also acceptable, also bugged by the undershirt. Still, it’s a nice suit.
Jackie Tohn in Jean Paul Gaultier
She came to stand out and we love her for that. It’s a pretty great suit and we love the matching pin-striped bra top. Could’ve done without the corseted sleeves, though.
Jeremy Renner
Looking fit and recuperated and ready to get back to work.
Josh Brolin
Why on earth would you stand that way on a red carpet? You’re an actor, buddy. No need to be so defensive about it. The look is pretty great, although a lighter loafer would’ve been a better choice.
Julie Bowen in Silvia Tcherassi
Meh. It looks kind of dated to us. We dislike fabric flowers in fashion in any case, but when it’s a mismatch to the outfit, we don’t understand the point of it.
Kerry Washington in Georges Hobeika
A decent (if stiff and heavy-looking) dress rendered in an absolutely terrible color.
Lee Byung-hun, Kang Ae-sim, T.O.P., Park Sung-hoon, Lee Jung-jae
Very chic and very well coordinated. They all look great.
Madison Bailey
It’s a cute dress, but we have to stand on our principles here. A french-tip pedicure with sandals AND sheer tights is a terrible thing to behold.
Mia Goth in Coperni
The dress is cute and has a little visual interest with that bust design. Those awful high-camped black pumps do nothing for it.
Mila Kunis in Elie Saab
We’re not at all opposed to the return of gaucho pants with boots, but we don’t consider it a summer look in any way. She looks good, but we don’t understand why so many stars are dressing for November at the moment.
Oscar Isaac
Another decent suit. Another problematic undershirt.
Sofia Carson in Stéphane Rolland
This is a little obnoxious. She had to know that no one else in attendance was going to consider it a formal event. In related news, we’re ready to take the brown trend out back and shoot it in the head.
Steven Yeun
Total Pop-Pop wear, right down to those awful dimpled loafers. The shirt’s cute, though.
Teyana Taylor in The Attico
This woman hits every red carpet like she’s storming Normandy under heavy fire. We may not always love the end product, but we’re so impressed by how hard she goes every time.
