Time to start wrapping it all up, wouldn’t you say? We’ll have one more spotlight post to show you, but for now, we’ve gotta start rounding up the unjudged stragglers on the 2025 Met Gala red carpet and let these poor dears FINALLY know what we think of their outfits. If you haven’t caught up on all of our exhaustive and exhausting Met Gala coverage, you should be ashamed of yourself, but you can make retribution by starting here.

Aimee Lou Wood in Ahluwalia

Um…no. We burst out laughing at this – not in glee, but in ridicule. Sorry, girl. This looks ridiculous. It’s a shame, because she’s so well suited to so many kinds of quirky styles, but she’s stuck in this hideous thing for her first Met Gala.

We hate it when couples dress in matching outfits, but these look great. Kinda love her puffy opera coat.

Audra Mcdonald in Harbison Studio

Gorgeously elegant and perfectly suited to this diva.

Charli XCX in Ann Demeulemeester

We can’t say we’re a hundred percent in love with the skirt, but the rest of it’s pretty hot. People were ridiculing the feathers, but we like that sort of exuberance at the Met Gala.

Doechii in Louis Vuitton

LOVED this. It’s full of personality and it made us laugh. We love that she’s more about creating these moments and characters with her fashion rather than prioritizing her own hotness with every choice.

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade in Prada

They both look drop-dead stunning. She’s perfection. We’re not in love with his vest and he looks like he can barely breathe in the jacket.

Hailey Bieber in Saint Laurent

It’s nominally on theme because she’s in a suit jacket, but this is the laziest, least interesting way to go. Anna, don’t invite her back.

Joey King in Miu Miu

LOVE. While we think the dress shirt and tie are a bit much, we just adore her for going this route instead of a much safer and less interesting one.

Keke Palmer in Vera Wang

It’s not really working for us, although the idea is interesting. The problem is with the color choices. The gown looks bridal and the black pants are too jarring with it.

Kendall Jenner in Torishéju

Can’t get mad at that. It’s gorgeous.

Lizzo in Christian Siriano

We were thrilled to hear that Christian scored a dress for the Met Gala red carpet. Then we were disappointed when we saw what he’d designed. We really hate the color blocking here and the dress itself just doesn’t come off rich enough for the Met Gala. The blonde doesn’t suit her at all.

Lorde in Thom Browne

While this struck as a little stark and downbeat for the Met Gala, we wound up appreciating it more when she explained that it’s a cummerbund. It’s a fantastic design, but we don’t like the styling for it at all. We realize she’s not a blowout and face beat kind of gal, but from the neck up, she looks like she’s in the middle of getting ready for bed.

Megan Thee Stallion in Michael Kors Collection

We weren’t all that impressed with this, but the dress and the hair are based off a Josephine Baker look, so it wasn’t just standard glam, as we originally assumed. The bust is way too tight. Too many basic designs are topped off with obnoxious coats in order to make them Met Gala-worthy. It’s become a cliche at this point.

Nick Jonas (in Bianca Saunders) and Priyanka Chopra (in Balmain)

She looks like she’s dressed for Ascot and that necklace is completely wrong for what she’s wearing. We have no idea what’s going on with him.

Nicole Scherzinger in Prabal Gurung
Pin

It’s not the most interesting look there, but it’s on theme and it’s impossible to deny that she looks spectacular.

Regina King in Who Decides War
Pin

This is a gorgeous and genuinely interesting design. The center panel is meant to depict Black angels looking over the Garden of Eden.

Sarah Snook in anOnlyChild
Pin

*chef’s kiss* We knew most of them wouldn’t, but this is how we wanted to see all the ladies dressed on the Met Gala red carpet.

Venus Williams in Lacoste
Pin

Meh. We just don’t think you can make a polo shirt and tennis skirt look formal. The shoes are awful.

Stay tuned for Part Two!
