A whole bunch of ladystars came to the Dior Cruise show to model your great-grandma’s old tablecloths. Let’s assess.
Alexandra Daddario
The dress is quite pretty, but a lining would be a vast improvement. We’re not scandalized by the underwear, we’re needlessly distracted by it. That lace deserves better.
Ashley Park
This, on the other hand, is the kind of design that wouldn’t work if it were lined. It’s simple and hot, but we honestly think a skimpier bottom would work better than those high-waisted briefs.
Eiza González
It’s hot in that “I got tangled up in some gauzy curtains while naked” sort of way. Again: nothing against the high-waisted panty, but we don’t think it works here.
Han So-hee
We think this sort of gauzy, tea-stained romance can work, but we think you pretty much need a person with darker skin to pull it off. Give this to Lupita or Viola and it would sing.
Marisa Berenson
Diva, we love you, but not even you can make this pile of laundry look chic.
Natalie Portman
The dress is pretty but the jacket looks dumb with it.
Rachel Brosnahan
We’d suggest it needs a lining, but those ruffles are not going to be improved by one.
Rosamund Pike
Kind of shocking to see her sporting the most conventional look of the lot. It’s got possibilities – as a beach wedding bridal gown if nothing else – but the belt and the boots don’t go.
