We just love that Nicola Coughlan loves big, bold, message-sending fashion. The Bridgerton star was at the Canneseries Festival to pick up the Konbini Commitment Award, which is awarded to “talent who have distinguished themselves by the artistic quality and societal, innovative and/or revolutionary dimension of their work.” To mark the occasion she came dressed like a flower.
Like we said, your girl doesn’t go small. The Robert Wun custom gown is designed to resemble a peace lily. Given her relentless commitment to sporting an Artists4Ceasefire pin for the last several years, we figure this is both a gown and a political statement. We’d like to say we love it, but we just can’t bring ourselves to do so. The coat is interesting and dramatic, but the dress is too costumey and impractical for us to love it. We appreciate the drama and the boldness of it, but it’s closer to drag than fashion.
