Noma Dumezweni, David Dastmalchian, Sabrina Wu, Alexander Skarsgård, Jack McBrayer, Tamara Podemski, Tattiawna Jones and Anna Konkle
The cast of Murderbot came out in somewhat goofy style for the series premiere. Let’s assess.
Noma Dumezweni
The gown is pretty and chic, but whatever’s going on down by her feet needs to stop whatever it’s doing immediately.
David Dastmalchian
David Dastmalchian should always look a little creepy, so we consider all of this on point for him.
Sabrina Wu
Yeah, no. Can’t sign off on that at all. We think there’s a way for them to do this kind of outfit and still have it look like a deliberate choice, but those look like diapers, which means it’s impossible to not assume they wandered out of the house and forgot their pants.
Alexander Skarsgård
It’s giving Conclave. There’s just no way you can wear a garment like this and not look like a priest. Even without the ecclesiastic allusions, the proportions are just too weird for this to work.
Jack McBrayer
He’s there supporting his best pal Alexander and he looks perfectly fine.
Tamara Podemski
This looks comfy and elegant, but we don’t like the color story and we think it needs a more delicate heel.
Tattiawna Jones
It’s kind of sharp, but it’s also kind of “fancy cater waiter.”
Anna Konkle
The silver pieces really make the look.
ABOUT THE SERIES:
Based on Martha Wells’ bestselling Hugo and Nebula Award-winning book series, “Murderbot” is a sci-fi thriller/comedy about a self-hacking security construct who is horrified by human emotion yet drawn to its vulnerable clients. Murderbot must hide its free will and complete a dangerous assignment when all it really wants is to be left alone to watch futuristic soap operas and figure out its place in the universe.
The ensemble cast also includes Noma Dumezweni, David Dastmalchian, Sabrina Wu, Akshay Khanna, Tattiawna Jones and Tamara Podemski.
“Murderbot” hails from Paramount Television Studios. The Weitz brothers wrote, directed and produced under their Depth of Field banner. Andrew Miano also executive produces for Depth of Field. David S. Goyer executive produces alongside Keith Levine for Phantom Four. Wells serves as consulting producer.
