Emilia Perez star Selena Gomez headed to the Santa Barbra Film Festival in a look that says “I don’t have to campaign for an Oscar.”
In other words, it’s cute, but not attention-seeking; stylish, but not grandiose. Having said that, the design is a little unflattering. The shape is blocky and that tricky peplum is waist-obscuring. If either the skirt or the top were a little more fitted, it would suit her better. Still, it’s kind of refreshing to see a star working a “mere” cute dress instead of a look-at-me gown at the height of awards season.
