Calm yourselves, royal fans. We’re joking. Kensington Palace recently made it clear that it will no longer be providing information on the Princess’s outfits, but that doesn’t mean a thing to us. She’s very much in a brown moment, as this is the third earth-toned outfit she’s worn this month. Maybe going neutral and low-key is part of the shift away from focusing on her clothes, which would be incredibly ironic, given Meghan’s predilection for neutrals and her stated reasons for wearing them. It’s almost certainly the reason why she’s wearing this coat for the second time in a month, switching out the red knit dress for a less photogenic brown one. We might consider all of this a little drab, but brown is very trendy at the moment and it’s a color she happens to look great in. As for her visit, it was to a mother and baby unit inside HMP Styal in Wilmslow, Cheshire as part of her ongoing commitment to highlighting issues of early childhood development.
