Abbott Elementary star Quinta Brunson stopped by Late Night to chat about the show’s crossover jawn with It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. She wore a set of Stevie Nicks’ boudoir draperies from 1975 to mark the occasion.
It seems to us that talk show ensembles have gotten increasingly grandiose or elaborate over the last few months. Put another way, we’ve gotten tired of saying “Should’ve saved this one for the red carpet,” so much. We don’t actually have firm opinions on what constitutes appropriate dress for a talk show. As with most celebrity style, it depends on the celebrity and what they’re promoting. We always enjoyed featuring talk show looks because the best ones are well-curated and highly styled, but a step or two lower than formal red carpet looks, making for a nice change of pace for bitches such as we, who spend our working days discussing such frivolities. But if the stars want to break out the gowns and the haute couture to sit on some hotel room furniture, we won’t make an issue of it. She looks great. On a lot of people, we’d hate this style, but it suits her and the boots really elevate it. That color really sings for her. The necklace is a bit much and doesn’t really coordinate with it all that well.
