We don’t always feature the same person twice on one day. In fact, we try our best to avoid it, just to have as much of a diverse lineup of people as we can fit in our daily coverage. But Lupita will always be worth a second look, especially when her first look wasn’t so great. In other words, we’re giving her a chance to course-correct after that weirdly styled look she wore to the premiere of The Wild Robot. For the BFI London Film Festival Screen Talks event, she got a little basic.
We don’t mean that in a bad way; just that it’s a fairly simple dress in a fairly accessible and low-key style. If it didn’t have that eye-popping print, we might even call it boring. But it’s just as dazzling as it needs to be for an event like this one and it takes a pretty great picture. We’ll admit that the print is a little harsh and the hem length a little awkward, but overall, we’d call this one a win.
