Letitia Wright took a sober, serious style approach when she hit the red carpet as the executive producer of the religious-themed film Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot.

Weirdly, this works for her. We might have found it dreary and utilitarian on another wearer, but something about it really suits her. We like that the pattern on the jacket doesn’t extend to the pants. There might have been more glamorous footwear options to choose, but those kickass numbers really lend the look a certain attitude and strength. We suspect she chose this partially for modesty reasons, but it gives off a sense of power and confidence. Maybe it doesn’t take the most exciting picture in the world, but it’s an interesting statement look.

ABOUT THE MOVIE:
The fight for kids begins July 4. Inspired by the powerful true story, SOUND OF HOPE: THE STORY OF POSSUM TROT, follows Donna and Reverend Martin as they ignite a fire in the hearts of their rural church to embrace kids in the foster system that nobody else would take. By doing the impossible–adopting 77 children–this East Texas community proved that, with real, determined love, the battle for America’s most vulnerable can be won.
