The stars came out to put the 2024 Venice Film Festival to bed and the looks ranged from dull to eye-popping, as expected. Let’s judge.
Alexander Skarsgård

We can’t complain about anything going on here, but we suspect he’s taking a page from George “wore the same tux for 20 years” Clooney.
Isabelle Fuhrman in Ermanno Scervino
Pin
It’s tasteful, but forgettable. Might have wanted to bump up the styling a bit.
Isabelle Huppert in Balenciaga
Pin
Mother Superior.
Kevin Costner in Brioni
Pin
We’d say he looks like a studio executive, but even they would show up in a better suit than this.
Luke Wilson
Pin
Disgraceful. Come on. The suit looks cheap and takes a terrible picture. The footwear is an insult to the occasion.
Sienna Miller in Chloé
Pin
Given the pure shittiness of the previous two entries, we feel like it would be unfair of us to get to bitchy about this. We’ll just say that this is the most “Of course” that ever of-coursed on any red carpet. It’s like Sienna Miller cosplay — and that’s not the first time we’ve made that observation about her style. It’s lapsed into cliche.
Taylor Russell in Schiaparelli Couture
Pin
This would be so much more chic and eye-catching with a black lining.
Zhang Ziyi in Gucci
Pin
She’s elevating what would normally be a somewhat forgettable look and lending it an Audrey H sort of air.
