Pamela Anderson has been getting the best reviews of her career for her work in the upcoming The Last Showgirl and while it’s early days yet, we’re just tickled pink at the prospect of the former Baywatch babe getting serious awards consideration. At the San Sebastian Film Festival, she showed that she’s opting for demure looks that pretty much scream “actress of a certain age.”

Outside of maybe Britney Spears, there isn’t a woman alive more worthy of the right to wear dowdy church dresses for the rest of her life. Personally, we think there’s a happy medium between hottie dresses and something that Tyler Perry would wear as Madea. The print is nice enough (bit mumsy), but the shape is an absolute sack. Given her preference for sporting a relatively clean face in her public appearances, she’d do well to pick starkly minimalist pieces to go with that sort of look. This just looks like she’s still in the middle of getting ready.

This is a much better direction for her and it coordinates fairly well with the downplayed makeup. As for the latter, we confess that we sometimes don’t get what she’s trying to do. She’s clearly wearing some makeup, so if she’s not going to go fully bare, we wish she’d make some better choices for herself. Even out the skin tone and wear a less harsh lip color if that’s the way you want to go.
