At the Los Angeles premiere of The Union, co-stars Mark Wahlberg and Halle Berry displayed vastly different approaches and effort levels on the red carpet.

And they wound up looking pretty dumb together. All this tells us is that they have absolutely no chemistry whatsoever and that neither of them are particularly optimistic about this film’s reception. The rule is: when he stops trying and she’s trying way too hard, you can pretty much guarantee that whatever they’re promoting is not a career highlight for either of them.

Tomorrow, Halle Berry will turn 58 years of age. This whole outfit is dumb as hell, but we feel like none of our critiques matter when you consider she’s not just pulling it off (insofar as it is possible to pull something like this off), but she’s also looking pretty damn hot in it. Work that ass if you wanna, Mama. We hate your “dress,” but you don’t care.
