Like most of her co-stars (except, curiously enough, Michael Keaton), Beetlejuice Beetlejuice star Catherine O’Hara has been sticking pretty closely to a nearly all-black promo wardrobe. You could see it as Moira Rose or Delia Deetz cosplay, but we tend to think most of the style choices on this tour are simply in keeping with the tone and aesthetic of a Tim Burton film. We’ve been impressed by O’Hara’s embrace of high-fashion looks with a little edge to them. For the London premiere, she offered up more of the same:
We…kinda? Like it? Like we said, it’s got that edge to it, but sometimes we get the impression that these super-fussy high-fashion look aren’t really her bag. This dress strikes us as wildly overdesigned. We like the idea of a sort of windbreaker dress over crinolines. It’s certainly not something you see every day. But we wonder if she wouldn’t be better off, if not happier, in something with fewer gewgaws and frippery hanging off it.
