Look, we know we’ve been featuring her a lot lately, but we can’t help it if J Lo is a master of publicity who knows that wearing a succession of cute but impractical bike-riding outfits on her extended Hamptons sojourn practically ensures coverage of her. Look at it this way: she’s helping a lot of hard-working photographers and culture and fashion writers feed their families. It’s a service, really. We all should be thanking her. Let’s judge her instead.
It’s extremely cute and just about the most twee ensemble we’ve ever seen her wear. The dress is pretty, if a silly choice for the activity. The shoes are honestly pretty hideous. This would have been cute with sneakers. Even so, nothing about this style really feels like her. Given the intensity of her Dior obsession at the moment, we figure there are some agreements being tended to, but it feels very phony to us. Granted, we never looked to J Lo for sincerity.
