A Quiet Place: Day One stars Joseph Quinn and Lupita Nyong’o took their little press tour to the Empire State Building. It’s not as weird as it sounds. The ESB routinely hosts stars on their viewing deck, but we don’t always get a chance to post about it. We’re always fascinated by the ways in which stars will interpret this largely uninterpretable situation in terms of style. Do you treat it like a photo call? A red carpet? How dress should one get? As you can see, our two stars took very different approaches.
Sort of cool and minimalist and vaguely businesslike. That jacket looks to be suede, which is kind of insane for New York in June. We might have liked a more interesting pair of pants to help it pop a little more. The shades are gorgeous. As for Miss Lupita, she took more of a showgirl approach to the setting:
It’s a gorgeous look and she looks amazing in it, but this is perhaps not the best place for it. Unless she wants to start tap-dancing, that is.
