Okay, kittens. You’re being drafted into service. We’ve been opinionating on the Met Gala red carpet for almost 24 hours at this point (with only a brief respite known colloquially to some as “sleep), so we’re going to go over here and stare at the wall for a half hour in order to recharge our batteries while the food order arrives, which will then be consumed in order to further charge said batteries. While all of that exciting stuff is happening, you need to make the final call on Sydney Sweeney’s very first Met Gala dress:

Our brief take is this: It’s a very pretty design and we really like the black elements in the floral, which lend it just a hint of darkness to cut through all of the sweetness. We do not, however, think the black should have been picked up in the styling. Those gloves are so wrong with the dress that we fear they might have ruined the whole look. Then there’s the issue of the design being somewhat basic and simplistic in regards to the theme and the venue. The Met Gala calls for more than pretty little princess gowns, no? Or it should, anyway. But you make the call here:

IN or OUT?

Oh, and we hate the wig.
