The first couple episodes of Hacks season 3 have dropped and we will surely have many things to say about them in the next podcast. Jean Smart came out to do a little victory lap in the wake of the show’s good reviews, and demonstrated once again that she knows exactly how to dress for a talk show appearance.

We could have told you from a hundred paces that there was some St. John in the house. They should make her a brand ambassador. She’s exactly the right person to sell their comfortably elegant aesthetic. In a lot of ways, this is a very basic, low-key sort of look, if only because anyone can go out and buy a version of it and most would have no problem pulling it off. There’s a universality to it, but it doesn’t come across stale. More important, she looks completely comfortable and confident in it.
