Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga star Anya Taylor-Joy violated one of the very few style rules we consistently apply at the Cannes Film Festival premiere. Namely, she wore a skin dress. And we’re always very, very clear that you should never, ever wear a dress that looks like it was made out of your skin. NEVERTHELESS…

The bitch looks stunning. Said with love and respect, of course. The hair is drop-dead gorgeous and the necklace is a stunner. Any fashion-watcher could’ve told you that was a Dior frock from a hundred yards away, which makes it a fairly smart choice for Cannes. And yet, and yet, and yet… we just can’t ignore the overwhelming beigeness of it all. Give this gorgeously simple and chic gown to a woman with darker coloring and we had have nothing but huzzahs to hand out. But she’s the pale gal to end all pale gals and we can’t help thinking just how much more gorgeous she’d look right now if this were an Audrey Hepburn-esque black. But even dogmatic bitches such as we can admit that every fashion rule should be broken every once in a while, and if the results are good enough, who are we to bitch about it? That’s why we’re asking you to bitch about it this time. Seriously, this is gorgeous, but do you not think the beige is letting her down? In other words…
