The ladies of Damsel looked incredibly well coordinated while sporting wildly different looks that don’t really have anything to do with each other at the premiere. What sorcery is this?

We think it comes down to each of them wearing something that suits them perfectly and says a little something about the wearer.

It’s giving heroine. On the one hand, sporting an armored dragon hide gown at your dragon-fighting movie premiere is gimmicky in a way that makes us wrinkle our delicate noses. On the other hand, it’s a pretty spectacular gown in an unusual color story. Her hair and makeup look great, but we don’t like the sandals.

It’s giving smooth professional. Her style has always had a stripped-bare quality to it. We can’t say it’s a bad choice for her. We might find ourselves wishing it was more colorful or that the jewelry had more of a statement feel to it, but this is ultimately a pretty appealing look that suits her perfectly.

It’s giving ingenue. We think the Cinderella slippers might be a bit much, but the dress is very pretty and romantic if a little overdesigned. That hem is kind of a mess.
