Selena Gomez went cutesy-goth for her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, which is perhaps a nicer way of saying that she wore entirely too much look.

It’s a lot better when she’s sitting down, but that skirt is awful. The proportions are unflattering – it sits too high and flares too far. But we’re probably not being fair by singling it out, since there’s just SO MUCH going on here. The boots are amazing, so they can stay, but every time we try and devise an edit for that dress design, we wind up thinking “Just throw it out and start over.” The leather jacket with the rose on the shoulder is kind of interesting, but we can’t wait for the hairbow trend to die.
