One more spotlight post before we start gathering up the attendees of the Academy Museum Gala and throwing them in rundown posts. Ultimately, we decided to give The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes star Rachel Zegler a solo post because we kept coming back to her pictures, intrigued by her gown. Are we intrigued because we like it or because it’s got issues? Let’s assess.

First, that’s a lovely sort of Champagne gold that looks fantastic on her. The style of the gown is about as classic as it gets, but we’re impressed that it could be rendered in a gold velvet and still retain its elegance. It doesn’t look bulky or heavy on her at all. It’s a bit of a shame about that wonky Westwood bust. While a more conventional bust design might have been a dull choice, this one is distracting and distorting. Maybe it should’ve been rendered in something other than a gold metallic. Regardless, she looks stunning. We think classic Hollywood Glam is probably her style sweet spot.
