… we’re just a teeny little bit disappointed this time. It’s certainly elaborate in the way we’ve come to expect from the Kluminator, and the individual costumes are all beautiful in their own way, but we tend to think when you put that much work into your look and then hire Cirque du Soleil performers to help you pull it off, it should be… we don’t know… more dramatic? At the very least, shouldn’t it resemble a peacock more accurately? Those pleated peacock fans are gorgeous, but shouldn’t they all come together in the shape of a peacock tail? The thing is, we’ve never been big fans of costumes so elaborate that they only work if you pose in a very specific way. Having said that, her mask is gorgeous and the beak was affixed to her face so that it moved when she spoke, which is pretty impressive. Putting her husband Tom Kaulitz in a giant egg is pretty funny. It just doesn’t have that OMG factor that previous years’ efforts provided.
