Priscilla star Cailee Spaeny hit the red carpet at the BFI London Film Festival premiere (thanks to a SAG AFTRA waiver), working a prim little retro Miu Miu gown with one somewhat confusingly dazzling detail to it.
We shall call it the “Crying Boobs” dress. What an utterly bizarre design element. We can understand the impulse to dress up the somewhat low-key design of the gown with a little bit of sparkle, but the way the bust is designed to look like it split open and all of these crystals are just tumbling out of it is goofy as hell. We’d go so far as to say it ruins what should’ve been an easy knockout for her. The style really suits her and we like the throwback hair style and the jewelry, which is really well-chosen. We’d have liked a slightly longer hem too, but that seems somewhat beside the point when it looks like the bust is raining.
