Megan Thee Stallion sticks to the trend, but makes it her own. Said trend? Why, showing your panties at the VMAs, of course. It’s a grand old tradition.
Here’s the thing as we see it: you can’t spend a day or two assessing the looks on the VMAs red carpet without mentioning the elephant panties in the room. It would be like covering the Oscars and neglecting to write the words “gown” or “diamonds” once. On the other hand, while we tend to find sheer dresses on the red carpet to be fairly boring and wildly played out at this point, we can’t get too worked up at the veritable parade ‘o panties that is the VMAs red carpet. Again, it would be like covering the Met Gala and getting all huffy about people dressing for attention. It goes with the territory. On a practical, blogger level, it just gets boring to write post after post getting annoyed at panties. It would also be weird. All of this is a ridiculously long way for us to lead up to our point: She looks pretty damn fine in this and we’d be fools to suggest she doesn’t. This may be the first “wet look” hair we’ve seen all year that really works.
